Romanesque houses
come to life in animations
to retell their story...
The short animated documentary that served as a vivid illustration of the archaeological findings of a medieval settlement, the Romanesque houses on today's Republic Square. The houses belonged to the social elite in the 12th century. According to experts, this is the most important discovery in the whole of Bohemia. The short film was presented at an exhibition in the main Museum of the City of Prague. I collaborated on this project with "C4D guru" and long-time colleague and friend Pavel Zoch.
Based on archaeological findings and contemporary sources, Pavel Zoch has been working on a complete reconstruction of the buildings. As a 3D specialist, he also involved his expertise in the use of wooden structures in Czech Romanesque architecture.
My work involved the creation of environments. Creating the initial intro with drawing the approximate situation.Creating the animated atmosphere and styling the video to the final editing.
