At the beginning of every project I look for the right words to describe the project's intention. "A picture is worth a thousand words". That's why I share creative ideas especially visually. I illustrate texts with photographs, atmospheric moodboards, preconcepts. I always look for the three basic pillars of a project : the story, its audience and the form of the narrative. I am also no stranger to writing lyrics for scripts and storyboards.

Visual stylization is for me a very distinctive and imaginative way to tell stories. It allows me to create in a slightly different way. What is important I highlight, I caricature. Allegories and parables come to life more easily. We can play with ornaments, historical art movements, classical art tools. We can compose a world out of different materials in 3D or classical animation. You can see some examples of my stylized work in a short thematic showreel below ↓↓↓

The time when we worked with classic film material transcribed to digital is gone. But thorough pre-production film preparation is still important to me. I like to work with professionals and film crews in green screen studios and backstage studios, as well as in a combination of real environments and acting.

Designing environments that transport us to other worlds and allow us to travel in time or space is a very exciting visual discipline. I worked for a number of years in the film industry as a matte painter. In 2006, I started working with advanced 3D projection matte painting techniques, which I then used for example as a digital artist at UPP studio. After that I worked for a number of other film and animation studios. I am still involved in environment creation and design, for example in the realization of virtual experiences. In addition to special effects in the real world (SFX), there is also the world of digital visual effects (VFX), without which many people today can no longer imagine filmmaking. I have mastered 3D and compositing techniques over the years while working on animated clips and film (post)production. For the implementation of these effects I prefer BlackMagic tools such as Fusion and Davinci Resolve. VFX procedures are also applicable to "live photography", short films or interactive multimedia. 3D is an amazing creative space that first captivated me in late 2002 when I started using Maxon Cinema 4D. I have always been fascinated by the empty infinity of the 3D program's working environment (viewport) that we can fill with our imaginations and fantasies. A universe offering an infinity of possibilities. At the beginning, I was dedicated to creating 3D environments, to later become a "3D generalist", a person who uses the whole range of 3D tools from polygonal modeling, sculpting, texturing, lighting, animation to simulations and rendering.

I sometimes wonder if it's not a specific visual/artistic movement :o) with its own canon and community. Instead of characters and sophisticated models, we're moving fonts, abstract designs, and creating ultra-short animations. We combine animated designs into short stories, compositions or cinematic units, and often carry the purpose of infographics or didactics. Short jingles alternate with animated corporate identities and holographic graphic interfaces illuminate imaginative futurological visions of the future. Real-time 3D Design is an interesting area of multimedia that we will see more and more often, especially on the Internet. Personally, what I like about real-time 3D graphics is the possibility of interactivity and more involvement of the viewer "in the action". In addition to presenting 3D designs of cars, architecture, these can be interesting tools for teaching and sharing interactive stories. This area is already closely adjacent to game design, which I sometimes work on when developing virtual experiences. I am attaching some examples of models optimized for the web ↓↓↓

In the meantime, I've had the opportunity to work on several 3D stereoscopic films at ACE studio. An important year for me was 2016-2019, when I worked as Art/Creative Director. As part of Brainz VR / Immersive studio, we realized a number of virtual experiences starting with a theatre play with VOSTO 5, through ŠKODA Heritage, Czech tourism, AR projects to pilot tests of games in virtual reality. For now, I've had the opportunity to work on designing physical objects and exhibits and digital installations that have been integrated with other experiences such as virtual reality or music production. I enjoy art and design of physical scenes or interfacing with animation, video mapping and graphics because there is the opportunity to play with real environments and influence people at the border of reality and imagination.

For creative I look at projects from a broader perspective and context, where we are looking for a way to communicate with the audience. Often it's about creative communication with clients and finding the ideal way to tell a story and message objective. I then often combine all of this into presentations, diagrams.
