VR architecture
design connecting
technology and nature

Underneath the wings of the structure and the surfaces of crystal clear glass is an immersive exhibition space. At its centre is a place where energy comes from, which, like water, gives life to new ideas and designs.

VIRTUAL EXHIBITION SPACES

For the presentation of the Czech automotive company ŠKODA, I designed a modern virtual space within the Brainz VR / Immersive studio. This involved working from concept, through 3D design to adaptation into a virtual environment in Unity. As part of the development, my colleagues and I at BrainZ created two versions of the space with different content and atmosphere presented. Visitors to the ŠKODA XR Cockpit can see car models, view multimedia content or other VR / AR / XR applications.

 IDEA of ARCHITECTURE DESIGN

Architectural design has two levels of inspiration. On a macro scale, the floor plan of the whole building should resemble an eye. It is therefore a reference to the vision of new models and the development of future cars. In the side section, the supporting structure stands out, which is meant to resemble a taut bow. This is a direct reference to the Skoda logo, which incorporates the familiar motif of a winged arrow. The space is thus meant to be a symbol of vision and the movement of development. The interior of the building is made up of refracted polygons, which are based on the corporate aesthetic and design of the brand. The colours of the space are blended with modern tones of green, clean areas of white. Inside the space, we can magically experience all four seasons in which ŠKODA cars are "at home".

The EYE - symbol of vision and the movement of development

The BOW - direct reference to the Skoda logo, which incorporates the familiar motif of a winged arrow.

OTHER OPTIONS

Other versions of the virtual showroom correspond to the focus of the exhibition. The first of them conceived darker colours with a futuristic lighting atmosphere. For this visual, I worked very closely with the talented real-time designer Kryštof Šuk (Tof), who brought the space to life with interactivity and movement and gave it the right atmosphere. In this version, the viewer is introduced to the then-new ŠKODA Vision RS concept. There was also a version of the other exhibition space specifically for motorsport cars in development, but we did not realise this in the end. You can see its concept below.
