A bear is like an apricot
man is like a bear.

Design studies and concepts for a "thinking bear" that was to be the mascot of a themed campaign for an unnamed brand.


I was approached by Triad advertising agency to design and create the mascot for a new planned campaign for an unnamed brand. It was to be a funny, cute and lovable figure of a kind of bear thinker who lets out "wisecracks". We took the concept in two directions in development. The first design was a stylized character that was close to the visual of a child's toy.


The second was a stylized semi-realistic "bear buddy" with a canine and actually kind of human expression. The campaign concept eventually veered away from this "Meme concept" in a different direction, leaving me with a few conceptual visuals.
